First impressions of Villa Frida
Villa Frida is situated in a quiet domaine not far from St Tropez, about 10-15 minutes depending on the traffic. The south side looks out over umbrella pines and from the moment you drive through the gates, you will find yourself in a wonderfully green haven, perfect for families and friends to explore all this beautiful corner of France has to offer. There are picture perfect hill top villages, a wide choice of sandy beaches, a wealth of local markets, restaurants and of course, there is St Tropez, 8 km away.
The house is all on one level with the open plan living area at its heart. The house is decorated in a comfortable and relaxed style. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms lead off from either side of the kitchen and living area, making it a perfect choice for 2 families of 4 for example, or groups of friends. Each bedroom has air conditioning and is simply and thoughtfully decorated, with all you need for a comfortable stay. The outside dining terrace leads directly from the kitchen area and has an electric plancha style barbecue. In high summer you can opt to move the table further out under the shade of the mulberry trees and enjoy long lunches and dinners with a view down to the pool and woodland beyond.
The pool is the focal point of the garden and your holiday, great at all times of the day and perfect for those morning lengths, yoga on the sundeck or just a quiet moment before the rest of the house is awake. There is a comfortable soft seating area on the upper terrace for relaxing with an aperitif or just to sit and chat or nap and plenty of room for enjoying your time by the pool. You can also wander up to the top of the hill behind the house to admire the view over to Grimaud across the vines.
The villa is surrounded by nature, yet so convenient for all this unique corner of the Var has to offer. You have so much choice! It is lovely to go to the beach for lunch or visit a local market and then return to the villa’s calm welcoming atmosphere. It is a 10 minute walk through the domaine (or just minutes by car) down to the boulangerie, to pick up some croissants and baguettes for breakfast and then return to relax by the pool. There is a good choice of supermarkets within very easy reach too. However you choose to spend your day, Villa Frida provides a wonderful home from home for your stay.
