Terms & Conditions – Villa Frida

What’s Included

Your stay at Villa Frida includes the following:

  • All bed linen, bath towels and pool towels

  • Linen and bath towels changed weekly for stays over 10 days

  • A mini mid-stay clean

  • Final departure clean

  • Air conditioning in all bedrooms (also provides heating in cooler months)

  • Wi-Fi

  • Hairdryers, iron and ironing board

  • Fully equipped kitchen including:

    • Fan oven and microwave

    • Nespresso coffee machine

    • Induction hob

    • Large fridge freezer

    • Washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer

  • Store cupboard basics are always available

What’s Not Included

  • Pool heating is available at an additional cost of £150 per week.
    Please note that pool heating is not available from mid-October to April, but is ideal for May, June and September stays.

  • Logs for the open fire (not available during summer months)

  • Additional cleaning

Booking Terms

  • Changeover day is Friday

  • During high season, the minimum stay is 7 nights

  • At other times we aim to be flexible — please enquire

  • Villa Frida is a family home and guests are asked to treat the property with care and respect, as well as being mindful of neighbours within the domaine

Arrival & Departure

  • Arrival: From 3:00 pm

  • Departure: By 10:00 am

Payments

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking

  • The remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to the start of your stay

  • A refundable damage deposit of £500 is also due at this time

  • Any extras (such as pool heating) are payable with the balance

  • A short terms and conditions form will be sent when the balance is due

Cancellation by the Guest

  • The booking deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances

  • If you cancel between 4 and 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday, 60% of the remaining balance will be refundable

  • If you cancel less than 28 days prior to the start of your holiday, the balance is non-refundable

  • If the property is successfully re-let for the same period, this will be taken into account and a partial refund may be offered at our discretion

  • In the event of a no-show or early departure, no refund will be given

Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, you will be informed as soon as possible and offered the choice of:

  • Accepting alternative booking dates, or

  • Cancelling your booking and receiving a full refund of all monies paid

We reserve the right to cancel a booking if the balance of payment is not received by the due date.

House Rules

  • Villa Frida is not suitable for parties, events or large gatherings

  • No smoking is permitted inside the villa

  • Quiet and respectful behaviour is required at all times, particularly in the evenings

  • The villa must be used for holiday accommodation only

Maximum Occupancy

The villa must not be occupied by more than the maximum number of guests agreed at the time of booking. Exceeding this number may result in termination of the stay without refund. The villa can sleep up to 8 adults.

Children & Safety

  • Children must be supervised at all times, particularly around the swimming pool and outdoor areas

  • Villa Frida accepts no responsibility for accidents resulting from lack of supervision

Swimming Pool

  • The swimming pool is not supervised

  • Use of the pool is entirely at guests’ own risk

  • Guests are responsible for ensuring appropriate safety measures are taken at all times

  • For safety reasons, only plastic glasses must be used in the pool area. If a glass item is broken in or around the pool, the pool will need to be drained and refilled, and the cost of this will be charged to the guest

Damage, Breakages & Loss

  • Any breakages or damage must be reported promptly

  • The cost of repairs or replacements may be deducted from the damage deposit

  • If the cost exceeds the deposit, guests may be liable for the additional amount

Use of Facilities & Utilities

  • Guests are responsible for the correct and safe use of all appliances, air conditioning, heating and equipment

  • Utilities are included on a fair usage basis; excessive use may incur additional charges

Cleaning & Condition on Departure

  • The villa should be left in a reasonable and tidy condition

  • Excessive cleaning, rubbish removal or misuse may result in deductions from the damage deposit

Maintenance & Access

  • The owner or their representatives may require reasonable access to the property during your stay for maintenance, pool or garden care. Wherever possible, this will be arranged at mutually convenient times.

Liability

  • The owner accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, injury or accident to guests or their personal belongings during the stay

  • Guests occupy the property entirely at their own risk

Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. No liability is accepted for loss or damage.

Force Majeure

No responsibility can be accepted for events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, travel disruption, government restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Complaints & Issues

Any issues or concerns should be reported as soon as possible during your stay, allowing us the opportunity to resolve them promptly.

Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information provided will be used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and will not be shared with third parties.

Travel Insurance

Guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, loss, injury or unforeseen circumstances.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights afforded to guests under French law.
