The story of Villa Frida

Villa Frida has been a part of our lives since 2002.  The search was on for a 2nd home in France, a long-held dream of mine since spending time there at the age of 19 as part of my French studies.  This however was our first visit to this part of France and we all absolutely fell in love with it.  Back then, the house looked rather different, but we all had the same heart felt response as we arrived - this house was The One!  As we got out of the car and rounded the corner of the house, the first view of the pool was and still is, such a delight.

This happened on a beautiful August day and afterwards, we drove up to the hill top village of Gassin for lunch, as we had glimpsed it from the house.  That was our first experience of the terrace of beautiful restaurants there, that have breath-taking views over the Gulf of St Tropez.  There was a calmness and serenity to this shady terrace that reinforced those first impressions  and the decision to buy the house was made there and then.  The rest as the story goes, is history.

It has been quite a journey from then to now, and Villa Frida has been quietly there as a constant throughout changes in our lives.  Our aim is to make the house a beautiful place for guests to stay.  It is such an important  part of the experience to stay in a home that uplifts, enchants, delights and surprises, and we hope that memories of the house and garden become interwoven with your holiday memories too.
